Waterloo Lodge joined the Morrisons: It’s Good to Grow scheme. This is a school collector scheme where anyone that shops at Morrisons can collect Grow Tokens and donate them to their local school to be redeemed against free gardening equipment.
Staff, parents, carers and the local community shopped at Morrisons and donated a token to Waterloo Lodge School with every £10 they spent. When the scheme closed last week we were overjoyed to find out that we had raised 2286 tokens to exchange for free gardening equipment, which is much needed for our horticulture garden.
Above is a photograph of the banner which we attached to the school railings to help our campaign. Pictured left to right: Alexa Bentley, Head Teacher Helen Rigby, Michaela Lever and Kian Wareing who are all looking forward to using the gardening equipment.
