Staff and students of Waterloo Lodge School took part in a Readathon, organised by the English Teacher, Miss Simpkin.
Reading is an important part of school life and using the Readathon engaged students (and staff) in healthy competition to read the most.
Throughout the Readathon month, staff were asked to log their reading via a link and log the reading of the pupils. This was to motivate pupils to read for pleasure and bring the magic of books and stories to children and staff alike.
The school had a target
of 2500 minutes of reading, which they achieved!
Together, Waterloo Lodge raised £145 with their Readathon. Money from the event helps to buy books for children in hospitals around the UK.
