Deutsche Woche (German Week) at Waterloo Lodge School

This week, Waterloo Lodge school engaged in another theme week. This time focusing on Germany, including the foods, people, crafts, and places.

The school menu was transformed into a German’s dream with sauerkraut, bratwurst and apfelstrudel.

Classrooms were given a makeover with German key words being posted around the rooms, windows being donned with the flag of Germany, and famous Germans.

For our weekly reading lesson pupils were asked to read the Grimm Brother’s version of Hansel and Gretel, a famous German story.

The feedback for the week from both the pupils and the staff has been amazing and everyone engaged in the activities.
