Staff and pupils from Waterloo Lodge School pledged to collect 50 bin bags of rubbish as part of the Keep Britain Tidy campaign.
Every day between the 20th March to 24th March 2023, pupils from Waterloo Lodge School donned their hi-vis and litter pickers and went out in to the community to litter pick.
Pupils were very keen to take part in the litter pick, competitive amongst each other in who could collect the most rubbish and happy to help our local areas for a good cause. This pledge was also part of our Eco-Schools status.
Waterloo Lodge school pledged to Keep Britain Tidy to collect 50 bags of rubbish, amazingly that was surpassed with an incredible 62 bags of rubbish collected by the pupils and staff. The pupils visited local areas; Liverpool Castle, Rivington; Worden Park; Astley Park; Cuerden Valley. In Rivington alone, 30 bags of rubbish were collected, Cuerden Valley, 20 bags and between Astley Park and Worden Park a further 12 bags were collected.
Well done to all the pupils at Waterloo Lodge School in helping to look after our local community.
