Waterloo Lodge School Raises £1430.00 for North West Air Ambulance

North West Air Ambulance Receive a Cheque from Pupils at Waterloo Lodge School.

Pupils and staff at Waterloo Lodge School are celebrating a fantastic fundraising achievement, having raised an impressive £1430.00 for North West Air Ambulance Chairty. Pictured above presenting the cheque to North West Air Ambulance are: Executive Head Teacher, Helen Rigby and two pupils from the school.

Waterloo Lodge School’s chosen charity for the academic year 2024-2025 was the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA).  NWAA was chosen because of the vital, lifesaving service they provide to our community.  Every day NWAA operates without government funding, relying solely on donations to deliver emergency medical care in situations where every second counts.

Their highly skilled crews reach patients in the most critical conditions, often in remote or hard-to-access locations, providing advanced pre-hospital treatment at the scene. This rapid response can be the difference between life and death.

In choosing NWAA, Waterloo Lodge School is proud to support a cause that is local, impactful, and directly aligned with our values of compassion, community, and care.

The small school community came together to support this vital cause through a variety of creative and energetic fundraising activities. Events included an Open Day, Christmas Fayre, World Book Day, Car Wash, Jeans for Genes, VE Day and other challenges – all designed to get everyone involved while raising awareness and funds for the charity.

“We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and generosity shown by the pupils, staff and community” said Executive Head Teacher Helen Rigby. “The NWAA plays such an important role in saving lives across our community, and it’s been inspiring to see everyone get behind the cause.”

This fundraising effort reflects the school’s strong sense of community, compassion, and commitment to making a positive difference beyond the classroom.
