Home News & Events Waterloo Lodge and Oakfield House Pupils Enjoy a Fun-Filled Day of Gardening, Teamwork and Chickens.
Waterloo Lodge School was delighted to welcome pupils from their sister school, Oakfield House School, for a fun-filled day of horticulture.
The pupils got stuck straight in, planting seeds, watering plants, and digging soil in preparation for new growth. There was plenty of teamwork on show, with everyone working together brilliantly to get the jobs done.
A real treat for many was the chance to pick their own herbs—smelling and even tasting them as they discovered all the different flavours growing in the garden.
The highlight of the day? Meeting the school’s three chickens! Some pupils showed great bravery by picking them up for a gentle cuddle, creating lots of smiles (and a few giggles too).
It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all, full of learning, laughter, and a little bit of muddy fun!
